Founded on December 26, 2023, Urban Plough is a health and wellness food initiative focused on creating fresh, wholesome and sustainable food alternatives. Recognised by Startup India, the venture operates from the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre at Mahatma Gandhi University. Combining innovation in urban farming with mindful food production, Urban Plough offers nutrient-rich microgreens, millet-based products and wholesome healthy treats made with clean ingredients and a commitment to healthier everyday living.
Founded out of a passion for nutrition and local food systems, Urban Plough began with the simple goal of bringing fresher greens to our community. Our founder's vision was to create a space where nutrition could thrive amidst the urban landscape.
